Biography
Dr. Farzad Karkvandeian is a board certified physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor who is fellowship-trained in interventional spine and sports medicine. He obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He then completed an internship at St Lucie Medical Center in St Lucie, Florida followed by a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Center, New York. Afterwards he completed a fellowship in interventional spine and sports medicine at OSS Health in York, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Karkvandeian extensively trained in a wide variety of fluoroscopically guided interventional spine procedures. He has special interests in musculoskeletal medicine and ultrasound, interventional spine procedures, and biologic regenerative medicine. He additionally has extensive training in sports team medical management and concussion management.
In Dr. Karkvandeian’s leisure time he enjoys driving cars on race tracks, working on automobiles, weightlifting, training in various forms of martial arts, discovering foods he’s never tried before, and traveling.
