Jeffery J. Rowe, MD

Biography

Dr. Jeffery Rowe completed two years of General Surgery residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University. After two years, he began his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Following his residency, he was fellowship trained in Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine. Dr. Rowe became board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in 2004 and became board certified in Pain Medicine in 2005. He joined Main Line Spine in January 2005.

Dr. Rowe has more than eight years of experience in Burn Surgery and Critical Care and more than twenty years of surgical experience. His extensive surgical background and management of critically injured burn patients combined with his extensive experience and specialty training in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic injections in the spine gives him a unique ability to perform minimally invasive procedures, including both trial and surgically implanted spinal cord stimulators, Dorsal Root Ganglion Stimulators. He also performs minimally invasive lumbar decompression, SI joint fusions, implants interspinous spacer/fusion devices and intrathecal pumps.

Dr. Rowe has gained international recognition for his many contributions to the study and treatment of pain and his dedication to furthering the field, particularly pain syndromes considered the most difficult to manage. He is considered a key opinion leader in the pain management field, providing lectures and training throughout the country to other physicians and medical practices.

As a consultant, Dr. Rowe is contracted to educate for some of the largest neuromodulation companies. He trains physicians in surgical implant technique for Spinal Cord Stimulators (SCS), Dorsal Root Ganglion Stimulators (DRG), Peripheral Nerve Stimulators (PNS), interspinous spacer devices and posterior non-pedicle fusion devices.

Dr. Rowe also performs minimally invasive lumbar decompression and intradiscal allograft injections that rehydrate discs for patients that have lumbar degenerative disc disease. Additionally, he performs a basivertebral nerve ablative procedure for axial low back pain associated with degenerative changes in the spine.
